Why I like working with children
I met another wonderful baby the other day....

Baby "O" is a wonderful, pretty, sweet little girl who reminded me how exciting the world can look through the eyes of a child. I think that I am pretty mindful of all the wonderful things around me, but I don't even come close to baby "O". She reminded me why I love working with children so much!

It was such a pleasure to watch (and photograph) that little girl!
Her tiny fingers kept grabbing anything that came close to her reach. She kept touching the green weed that was growing in the grass. She found a brown leaf, far from its former glory, but still wonderfully crunchy and squishy in the little hands ; )

She marveled at the decorations on the bag. She turned her head every time she heard the tiniest little sound that was not her mother's voice. She studied with utmost attention (and a very serious facial expression) a few picture books that were in front of her. Then she appeared to be reading ingredients on the jar of her baby food. But my favourite moment was when she reached for a pear and could not let it go. It was so much fun to watch her expressions as she was discovering the wonderful world around her.

Have I mentioned her pretty blue eyes? ; )
Thank you "O" for reminding me to marvel at everything (and anything) around me and feeling good about my discoveries ; )
